The members of Violette are Alice Blankenship, Violin, and Michael Anderson, Clarinet. As a duo, Anderson and Blankenship formed Violette to create and commission new music, arrange baroque, classical, and folk-crossover music for the unusual pairing of violin and clarinet. Violette is the core ensemble of both Høstedans and microphilharmonic. Violette's repertoire includes works by Bach, Telemann, Mozart, Tomas Svoboda, Paul Safar, Olivia Davis, as well as original music by Anderson and Blankenship.
The ancient and beautiful advent carol Oh Come Oh Come Emmanuel paired with the spritely and wassailing (caroling) tradition of On Christmas Night (the Sussex carol), arranged by Alice Blankenship.
