Who: Adult students of stringed instruments, aged 18+
What: Chamber music master classes, individual lessons, string techniques, body mechanics, and ensemble rehearsal strategies for chamber ensembles.
When: July 10th-15th. Monday-Friday, 9:00am-Noon, or 6:30-9:30pm. Register for morning or evening sessions. Saturday session 10:00am-Noon. Concert at 2:00pm on Saturday.
Where: Workshop sessions at the home and garden of Alice Blankenship. Concert in Junction City.
Cost: $200 per person

Telemann's beautiful Fantasia in B minor was the perfect piece to practice during the 2020 Covid lockdown. It is poignant, determined, sometimes achingly lonely yet tenacious, ending with a dancelike romp. Musical medicine!

Høstedans will perform classical and folk dance music, arranged by Alice Blankenship and Michael Anderson for Høstedans. Presenting music of Brahms, Bartok, Shostakovich, Piazzolla, as well as traditional folk dances of Scandinavia, Høstedans will invite audience members of all ages to join in the dance! This concert is supported by a grant from the Springfield Arts Commission, and is Free and open to the public.

This children's dance from Denmark portrays a Shoemaker, creating a pair of leather shoes. With tapping fists, stamping feet and turning in circles, very young children learn good coordination in this fun dance.
