Høstedans = "Harvest Dance"

Created in June of 2020, Høstedans was originally formed to coincide with the annual Scandinavian Festival in Junction City, Oregon, USA. The Festival takes place each August, and reached its 60th anniversary in 2020. Høstedans ensemble members include Alice Blankenship, Violin, Michael Anderson, Clarinet, Sean Peterson, Bass, and Ruthanne Fraley and Sergei Teleshev, Accordions. Høstedans helped celebrate Junction City's 60th anniversary Scandinavian Festival by creating their first album, Børnemusik, Volume 1, with original arrangements of the Junction City favorite tunes for the youngest dancers. This project was made possible, in part, by the Oregon Cultural Trust, through the Lane Arts Council and a Lane County Cultural Coalition grant.

Alice Blankenship is fundraising to support the creation of Børnemusik Volume 2, for older children and teen dancers. Click the link below to donate to this project!
